By the term ‘Kenyan election crisis’ we refer to the political, economic and humanitarian crisis that developed in Kenya following the election of President Mwai Kibaki on December 27, 2007. Kibaki’s opponent Raila Odinga of the Orange Democratic Movement alleged serious electoral manipulation. This view is shared by international press and by the international observers.
